Why this site exists
In Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve you spend MRP (Military Result Points) on the Aircraft Tree. The price printed on a jet is not what it costs to get there: nodes only open after a connected node is bought, so a single jet can sit behind a chain of upgrade parts and other aircraft. This site adds up the whole chain, so you can see the real bill before you start farming.
What you will find here
- A calculator that finds the cheapest known route to any aircraft and shows how many farming runs it takes from your current MRP.
- One route guide per jet with a mapped route: every node to buy, running totals, special weapon prices, wingman copy cost and a farming plan.
- Full tables of every aircraft and every upgrade part with its MRP price.
Where the data comes from
Prices and unlock links are compiled from public guides covering the launch version of the game (October 2026) and cross-checked where two sources overlap. Part names are sometimes unofficial translations of the Japanese in-game text. Mission farming figures are MRP per replay at the listed rank and exclude the one-time first-clear bonus.
How a route is calculated
The calculator treats the Aircraft Tree as a graph. Each node has a price, each link says which node must be owned first. It then finds the cheapest chain of nodes from the F/A-18C Hornet, which you start with, to your target. Anything you mark as already unlocked is free. Aircraft that appear after Mission 30 are handled as a special case: they need you to own one of a short list of prerequisite jets, and the calculator uses whichever prerequisite is cheapest to reach.
That is why the Super Hornet costs 410,000 MRP through a chain of eight cheap parts, even though its node price is 240,000, and why buying the Mirage 2000-5 first makes the same jet cost more.
How reliable is it?
Every link in the tree carries a confidence rating of high, medium or low. The F-22A branch is currently rated low because it comes from a single guide and other guides disagree, and every page that depends on it says so. Some aircraft are marked "route not mapped" in the calculator: no reliable source lists the nodes in front of them yet, so only the aircraft price is shown and the real cost will be higher. We would rather say that than guess.
Prices can change with game patches. Each change is recorded in the changelog.
